New Line Cinema released Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring in December 2001, adapting the first volume of J.R.R. Tolkien's beloved trilogy. The film marked a turning point in epic fantasy filmmaking, earning widespread critical acclaim and launching one of the most ambitious theatrical trilogies in Hollywood history. Its theatrical trailer generated enormous anticipation, circulating in cinemas months before the film's release.
This cell, titled The Lord of the Rings Title Card, preserves three consecutive frames from that trailer, each displaying the iconic gold-lettered logo against a black background. The third frame shows the logo partially obscured at the right edge, a natural artifact of the cell's position within the original 35mm trailer print.
