New Line Cinema released Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring in December 2001, adapting the first volume of J.R.R. Tolkien's beloved trilogy. This cell preserves The Lord of the Rings Title Card as it appears in the 2001 theatrical trailer, captured on 35mm film. The frame presents the gold stylised lettering against a black background, a spare and iconic image that introduced the trilogy's visual identity to audiences before a single scene had been shown.
