New Line Cinema released Peter Jackson's adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Fellowship of the Ring in December 2001, launching one of the most ambitious fantasy trilogies in Hollywood history. The film earned widespread critical acclaim and enormous box office success, helping establish the modern era of large-scale fantasy filmmaking. Its theatrical trailer generated significant anticipation and remains a document of that cultural moment.

These three consecutive 35mm frames capture Boromir lying on snowy, rocky terrain during what appears to be the Fellowship's ill-fated attempt to cross the mountain pass of Caradhras. His chainmail, fur-lined cloak, and circular shield are clearly visible against the alpine backdrop. As consecutive frames from a single shot, the cell offers a rare sense of motion preserved in still form.
