New Line Cinema released Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring in December 2001, adapting J.R.R. Tolkien's beloved first volume for a new generation. The film launched one of cinema's most ambitious trilogies, earning widespread critical acclaim and reshaping the scope of fantasy filmmaking. Its theatrical trailer generated enormous anticipation, circulating in cinemas months before the film's release.

This cell, titled Boromir and Aragorn by the operator, captures the trailer's title card moment reading "The Return of the King," presented across three adjacent frames against a rocky, snow-touched landscape with a figure in ornate kingly armor. The sequence connects both named characters to the trilogy's larger arc of kingship and legacy.
