New Line Cinema released Peter Jackson's adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Fellowship of the Ring in December 2001, launching one of the most ambitious fantasy trilogies in Hollywood history. The promotional trailer introduced mainstream audiences to Middle-earth months before the film's release, making trailer footage from this period a distinct artifact of the production's marketing campaign.

This cell, titled Boromir, captures footage from the Fellowship's crossing of Caradhras, one of the trailer's most visually striking sequences. The frames show Legolas moving through the snow with his bow, followed by Boromir in his dark cloak with shield visible against the alpine backdrop. The slight variation in framing across the three scenes reflects the trailer's rhythmic editing of this mountain passage.
