New Line Cinema released Peter Jackson's adaptation of J.R.R. Tolkien's The Fellowship of the Ring in December 2001, launching one of the most ambitious fantasy trilogies in Hollywood history. The promotional trailer arrived ahead of a film that would redefine epic filmmaking for a generation, drawing audiences into Middle-earth through sweeping location photography shot across New Zealand.

This cell, titled Gandalf and Gimli by the operator, captures Ian McKellen's Gandalf positioned on a rocky outcrop, with snow-capped peaks reflected in dark alpine water below.
