New Line Cinema released Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring in December 2001, adapting the first volume of J.R.R. Tolkien's beloved trilogy. The film marked a turning point in epic fantasy filmmaking, earning widespread critical acclaim and launching one of the most celebrated theatrical trilogies in cinema history. This 35mm trailer cell predates the feature's release, making it a document of the film's original promotional campaign.

The cell is titled Galadriel and captures three consecutive close-up frames of Cate Blanchett as Galadriel, her hair flowing across the image in what appears to be the Mirror of Galadriel sequence set within Lothlórien. The continuity across all three frames gives the cell a quiet, meditative quality.
