FILM NOTES

Warner Bros. released Scooby-Doo in June 2002, bringing the beloved Hanna-Barbera animated franchise to live-action for the first time. Directed by Raja Gosnell, the film blended practical sets with early-era CGI to realize the Mystery Inc. gang for a new generation. The accompanying theatrical trailer circulated widely in 35mm prints, making surviving trailer footage a genuine artifact of early 2000s studio marketing.

This cell, titled Scooby-Doo and Shaggy, captures the CGI-rendered Scooby-Doo across three consecutive frames from an outdoor location sequence, with a vehicle and dense foliage framing the shot. One frame sits rotated ninety degrees on the strip, a natural artifact of how trailer footage was sometimes cut and spliced. Neil Fanning provided the voice and performance capture behind Scooby throughout the production.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
