Warner Bros. released the live-action Scooby-Doo in June 2002, bringing Hanna-Barbera's beloved animated franchise to theatres for the first time as a full-length feature. Directed by Raja Gosnell and produced during a wave of nostalgia-driven adaptations, the film became a genuine summer hit and introduced the Mystery Inc. gang to a new generation. Its theatrical trailer circulated widely on 35mm prints, making surviving trailer cells relatively uncommon.

This cell captures three near-continuous frames from the Glowing Ritual Scene, preserved from the 35mm trailer print. The overhead or canted camera angle frames dark figures gathered around a luminous circular element at the bottom of frame, the stylised low-key photography lending the sequence a genuinely atmospheric quality that distinguishes it from the film's broader comedic register.
