Warner Bros. released the live-action Scooby-Doo in June 2002, bringing Hanna-Barbera's beloved animated mystery franchise to theaters for the first time with a flesh-and-blood cast. Directed by Raja Gosnell, the film leaned into self-aware humor while courting both nostalgic adults and a new generation of fans. Its promotional campaign was extensive, and theatrical trailers circulated widely on 35mm before the summer release.
