Warner Bros. released the live-action Scooby-Doo in June 2002, bringing Hanna-Barbera's long-running animated franchise to theaters for the first time with a flesh-and-blood cast. Directed by Raja Gosnell, the film leaned into its Saturday-morning roots while courting a new generation of fans, and its theatrical trailer circulated widely ahead of a strong opening weekend.

This cell, titled Shaggy and the Luna Ghost, captures Matthew Lillard as Norville "Shaggy" Rogers leaning casually against the Luna Ghost, played by Nicholas Hope, against a blue background evoking the film's Spooky Island setting. Drawn from consecutive frames of a single trailer shot, the strip preserves a quiet comedic moment between the two figures, with a circular lens artifact visible at the frame edge adding a small piece of photographic history to the clip.
