FILM NOTES

Columbia Pictures and Warner Bros. released the live-action Scooby-Doo in June 2002, adapting the long-running Hanna-Barbera cartoon for a new generation. Directed by Raja Gosnell, the film marked a significant moment in early-2000s family entertainment, blending practical sets with then-ambitious CGI to bring the Mystery Inc. gang to life. Its theatrical trailer circulated widely and generated considerable anticipation ahead of the summer release.

This cell, titled Scooby and Shaggy by the operator, captures a tense confrontation between Scooby-Doo, realized through Neil Fanning's performance, and the antagonist N'Goo Tuana, played by Steven Grives, within what appears to be a ritual or dungeon environment on Spooky Island. The near-duplicate framing suggests consecutive moments from a single dramatic shot.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
