Warner Bros. released the live-action Scooby-Doo in June 2002, bringing the long-running Hanna-Barbera cartoon to theaters with a blend of practical performance and early digital effects. The film marked a generational handoff, introducing the Mystery Inc. gang to audiences who had grown up with the animated series while leaning into a self-aware, comedic tone. It performed strongly at the box office and remains a touchstone of early 2000s family cinema.
