Columbia Pictures released the live-action Scooby-Doo in June 2002, marking the first major theatrical adaptation of Hanna-Barbera's beloved animated franchise. Directed by Raja Gosnell and produced by Warner Bros. in partnership with Village Roadster Pictures, the film drew enormous anticipation from audiences who had grown up with the Saturday morning series. Its promotional materials, including the theatrical trailer, were distributed widely on 35mm, making surviving trailer cells genuine artifacts of early 2000s studio marketing.
This cell captures an elevated exterior shot from the Spooky Island sequence, looking down on figures gathered near a large tree trunk amid dense tropical foliage. The three-frame strip preserves a continuous moment from this location, offering a rare ground-level perspective on the film's central setting as seen through the trailer's promotional cut.
