FILM NOTES

Columbia Pictures released the live-action Scooby-Doo in June 2002, marking the first major theatrical adaptation of Hanna-Barbera's beloved animated franchise. Directed by Raja Gosnell and produced by Charles Roven, the film brought the Mystery Inc. gang to life with a mix of practical sets and early-2000s CGI, arriving at a moment when nostalgia-driven properties were finding renewed mainstream appeal.

This cell captures the title card "When Ghosts Say Boo" three times across the frame, each instance accompanied by a burst of green glowing spectral energy against a deep black background. The rightmost repetition is partially cropped at the frame edge, a natural artifact of how trailer title sequences were cut for theatrical projection. It is a striking piece of promotional typography from the film's original 35mm release materials.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
