Universal Pictures released the live-action Scooby-Doo in June 2002, bringing the beloved Hanna-Barbera cartoon to theaters at the height of early-2000s nostalgia filmmaking. Directed by Raja Gosnell, the film blended practical sets with then-ambitious CGI to realize the Mystery Inc. gang for a new generation, earning enough at the box office to spawn an immediate sequel.

This three-frame strip, titled Velma, Fred and Scooby in Disguise, captures Linda Cardellini as Velma Dinkley, Freddie Prinze Jr. as Fred Jones, and the CGI Scooby-Doo voiced by Neil Fanning sharing an indoor scene together. The consecutive frames represent a single sustained moment from the theatrical trailer, and notably the strip was mounted inverted, with all three frames rotated 180 degrees on the celluloid.
