Pokémon the Movie: Volcanion and the Mechanical Marvel was released in Japan in July 2016 by OLM, Inc. and distributed internationally through The Pokémon Company. The nineteenth entry in the theatrical Pokémon series, it arrived during a period of renewed global interest in the franchise coinciding with the Pokémon GO phenomenon, making it a culturally significant chapter in the long-running animated saga.
