FILM NOTES

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller's The Lego Movie arrived in February 2014 through Warner Bros. Pictures, becoming an unexpected cultural landmark. Built on a foundation of genuine wit and visual invention, the film transformed a toy brand into a surprisingly heartfelt meditation on creativity and conformity. Shot digitally but rendered to mimic physical stop-motion animation, it earned widespread critical acclaim and launched an enduring franchise, while its production design set a new standard for animated world-building.

This cell captures Emmet Brickowski within a bustling LEGO cityscape during what appears to be an aerial action sequence, a vehicle or aircraft visible above him in the frame. The three near-identical frames suggest a rapid-fire moment of movement and urgency, preserving a tight slice of kinetic storytelling centered entirely on the film's everyman protagonist.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
