FILM NOTES

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller's The Lego Movie arrived in February 2014 through Warner Bros. Pictures, defying expectations for what a feature built around a toy brand could accomplish. Blending sharp satirical wit with genuine emotional resonance, the film became a cultural touchstone of the decade and a landmark in animated filmmaking, shot on 35mm to give its computer-generated Lego world an unexpectedly tactile, handcrafted quality.

This cell captures Emmet Brickowski from an overhead perspective, looking down into a darkened Lego cityscape rendered in warm orange and blue tones. Across three closely sequenced frames, Emmet moves through the cluttered urban environment below, surrounded by Lego structures and scattered debris, placing the viewer directly inside what reads as one of the film's kinetic chase sequences.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
