FILM NOTES

Warner Bros. Pictures released The Lego Movie in February 2014, directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. The film arrived as a genuine surprise, transforming a toy brand into a layered, self-aware comedy that earned widespread critical praise and substantial box office returns. Its blend of stop-motion aesthetic with computer animation gave it a distinctive visual identity that stood apart from conventional animated features of the period.

This 35mm cell, titled Travel Through The "Man Upstairs," captures a sustained explosion sequence characterized by deep blue illumination, sharp angular brick debris, and radiating orange fragments against a dark gradient field. The continuous three-frame composition documents the full arc of the energy discharge, preserving the film's kinetic visual language in a single collectible strip.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
