FILM NOTES

Warner Bros. Pictures released The Lego Movie in February 2014, directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. The film arrived as a genuine surprise, transforming a toy brand into a sharp, visually inventive comedy that earned widespread critical praise and significant box office returns. Its entirely computer-generated animation was deliberately crafted to replicate the texture and movement of physical stop-motion Lego bricks, giving the film a distinctive handmade quality that set it apart from conventional animated features of the period.

This cell, titled Emmet - Wildstyle - Vitruvius, captures Emmet Brickowski within the film's characteristically dense and colorful Lego-built interior environment. The three frames follow a continuous moment, with Emmet centered against warm orange and blue tones and the honeycomb-patterned backdrop that defines the production's visual language. Vitruvius is confirmed among those present in the sequence, placing this cell within the company of the story's central figures.
