FILM NOTES

Warner Bros. Pictures released The Lego Movie in February 2014, directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. The film arrived as a genuine surprise, transforming a toy brand into a sharp, visually inventive animated feature that earned widespread critical acclaim and strong commercial returns. Shot entirely in a computer-generated style deliberately designed to mimic the look of physical stop-motion animation with real plastic bricks, it became a defining animated release of the decade and launched an ongoing franchise.

This cell, titled Vitruvius, captures the ancient wizard character across three consistent frames set within a warmly lit Lego interior environment. Vitruvius appears prominently throughout, surrounded by background Lego figures and architectural elements rendered in the film's characteristic yellow and blue palette, offering a clean and recognizable representation of one of the story's central figures.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
