Warner Bros. Pictures released The Lego Movie in February 2014, directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. The film arrived as a genuine surprise, transforming a toy license into a sharp, self-aware comedy that earned widespread critical praise and substantial box office returns. Its entirely computer-generated animation was deliberately designed to replicate the look of physical stop-motion brickwork, giving the film a tactile quality unusual for the era.

This cell, titled Title Card & Emmet Brickowski, opens with the film's logo against darkness before settling into the Lego cityscape where Emmet Brickowski stands among construction cranes. The third frame continues that same environment in nearly identical composition, offering a quiet, grounded introduction to the story's everyman protagonist before the plot accelerates.
