FILM NOTES

Warner Bros. Pictures released The Lego Movie in February 2014, directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. The film arrived as a genuine surprise, blending irreverent humor with an unexpectedly sincere story about creativity and conformity. Shot entirely in a computer-animated style designed to mimic physical stop-motion, it became a cultural touchstone and a commercial phenomenon, earning widespread critical admiration and launching an enduring franchise.

This cell, titled Emmet and Lucy, captures three consecutive frames from what appears to be an action sequence set within a warmly lit golden LEGO environment. Emmet Brickowski and Lucy, known as Wyldstyle, are visible across all three frames, the slight exposure variation between them a natural artifact of the original 35mm print from which this piece originates.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
