Phil Lord and Christopher Miller's The Lego Movie arrived from Warner Bros. Pictures in February 2014, a studio production that surprised critics and audiences alike by functioning as both a genuine comedy and a quietly sincere story about creativity. Built on licensed characters and pop-culture references, it became a cultural touchstone of mid-2010s animation and a commercial landmark for branded filmmaking.
This cell, titled Shaq - LEGO Cameo, captures frames from the sequence in which Shaquille O'Neal appears in the film as himself rendered in minifigure form. The yellow jersey bearing number 34 is clearly readable across the three frames, with the Shaq minifigure positioned among other characters in what reads as a basketball setting. A small, self-aware moment from a film full of them.
