Phil Lord and Christopher Miller's The Lego Movie arrived from Warner Bros. Pictures in February 2014, a film that surprised audiences and critics alike by delivering genuine wit and emotional depth beneath its animated toy premise. Produced in partnership with Village Roadhouse and Animal Logic, it became a cultural touchstone of mid-2010s animation and a commercial phenomenon that redefined what a brand-driven film could accomplish.
This cell, titled Shaquille O'Neal - Cameo, captures frames from the Lego basketball court sequence in which the Shaquille O'Neal minifigure appears among other NBA-themed Lego characters. Shot on 35mm, the three frames present nearly identical compositions of the brightly lit Lego environment, offering a rare piece of physical film from one of the picture's most recognizable celebrity moments.
