FILM NOTES

Phil Lord and Christopher Miller's The Lego Movie arrived in February 2014 through Warner Bros. Pictures, becoming one of the year's most unexpected critical and commercial triumphs. Built on a foundation of irreverent humor and genuine emotional depth, the film redefined what an animated feature tied to a toy property could achieve, earning widespread acclaim and cementing its place as a defining work of early 2010s animation.

This 35mm cell captures Emmet Brickowski across three consecutive frames from a single shot, placing the film's everyman protagonist within a shadowed interior environment of blue and grey brickwork, a white cylindrical element visible overhead. The tight sequence offers a rare sense of cinematic continuity, preserving the subtle frame-to-frame rhythm of Emmet's on-screen presence.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
