FILM NOTES

The Lego Movie arrived in February 2014 from Warner Bros. Pictures and directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, defying expectations by transforming a toy brand into a genuinely inventive piece of animation. Shot in a style that mimicked the look of stop-motion photography, the film became both a critical and commercial landmark, earning widespread recognition for its layered humor and surprisingly earnest themes about creativity and conformity.

This 35mm cell, titled Emmet and Wyldstyle Falling, captures a kinetic moment from what appears to be a confrontational action sequence. Warm golden tones and a dynamic overhead angle frame Emmet Brickowski alongside Wyldstyle, with Lord Business also present within the frames. The composition reflects the film's signature visual energy, preserving a fleeting instant of movement and tension from one of its most propulsive passages.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
