FILM NOTES

Warner Bros. Pictures released The Lego Movie in February 2014, directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. The film arrived as a genuine surprise, transforming a toy brand into a sharp, layered comedy that worked equally well for children and adults. Its hand-crafted aesthetic, which mimicked stop-motion animation using CGI, earned widespread critical admiration and helped establish animation as a serious awards contender that season.

This cell, titled Wildstyle, captures Emmet Brickowski suspended within a glowing industrial LEGO environment, the orange and blue lighting giving the frame a vivid, almost painterly quality. Shot from an overhead or angled perspective, the composition emphasizes the scale and mechanical density of the surrounding set. For collectors, it offers a striking portrait of the film's central character caught in one of its most visually dynamic sequences.
