Star Wars: Episode I - The Phantom Menace arrived in May 1999 as one of the most anticipated theatrical releases in cinema history. Produced by Lucasfilm Ltd. and distributed by 20th Century Fox, the film marked George Lucas's return to directing after a twenty-two-year absence and launched a prequel trilogy that expanded the Star Wars saga for a new generation of audiences.
This cell, confirmed as the Lucasfilm Ltd. Logo Card, presents black unexposed leader frames bearing the Lucasfilm Ltd. copyright watermark embossed directly into the emulsion. No scene content is visible, yet the cell carries the institutional identity of the production company responsible for one of cinema's most enduring franchises, preserved here in original 35mm format.
