Universal Pictures released Back to the Future Part II in November 1989, reuniting director Robert Zemeckis and producer Bob Gale for the middle chapter of their beloved trilogy. Following the massive success of the original, the sequel pushed further into science fiction territory, imagining a then-distant 2015 with hoverboards, self-lacing shoes, and flying cars. It remains a cultural touchstone, its vision of the future endlessly revisited as that year actually arrived.

This cell, titled Marty and Doc, captures three consecutive 35mm frames from the film's 2015 Hill Valley sequence. Marty McFly and Dr. Emmett Brown appear together outside building 220, with Doc in his recognizable floral shirt. The consecutive nature of the frames offers collectors a rare sense of motion frozen in time from one of cinema's most iconic partnerships.
