FILM NOTES

Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment released Back to the Future Part II in November 1989, reuniting director Robert Zemeckis and writer Bob Gale with the cast of their 1985 blockbuster. The sequel expanded the franchise's scope dramatically, sending its characters into a then-distant 2015 and back to 1955, and became one of the defining science fiction films of its decade. Shot on 35mm by cinematographer Dean Cundey, the film's visual ambition set a benchmark for practical effects and production design in mainstream Hollywood filmmaking.

This three-frame 35mm cell, titled Biff - Marty and Doc, captures what appears to be an interior scene bathed in neon and blue lighting consistent with the film's futuristic set design. The frames show two figures in close proximity, with a third frame revealing a white-haired figure leaning over a console or instrument panel. The confirmed title places Biff, Marty, and Doc together within the same sequence, making this a notably character-rich selection from the production.
