FILM NOTES

Back to the Future Part II arrived in November 1989 from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment, the second chapter of Robert Zemeckis and Bob Gale's time-travel trilogy. Building on the original's massive success, the film pushed its premise into uncharted territory, sending its characters to a then-distant 2015 and back to a darkened alternate 1985. It remains a landmark of late-eighties studio filmmaking, notable for its practical effects, layered storytelling, and cultural staying power.

This cell captures Marty McFly mid-movement, backpack in tow, set against what appears to be a suburban or town environment. The three frames carry visible motion blur, suggesting an action sequence or hurried moment in the narrative. Together they offer a candid, kinetic portrait of the film's central character caught between destinations.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
