FILM NOTES

Back to the Future Part II arrived in November 1989 from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment, directed by Robert Zemeckis. Picking up the instant its predecessor ended, the film carried audiences forward to 2015 and backward into an altered 1955, cementing the trilogy as one of Hollywood's most ambitious popular entertainments of the decade. Its blend of practical effects, production design, and narrative intricacy made it a defining studio achievement of the era.

This cell, titled George and Lorraine by the operator, presents three successive frames from an interior sequence featuring Doc Brown at what appears to be a workshop console, a monitor visible in the background. The slight variation across the trio captures the natural rhythm of a single held shot, offering collectors a quiet, methodical glimpse into the film's laboratory world.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading in partnership with National Film Vault, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
