Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment released Back to the Future Part II in November 1989, continuing one of the decade's most beloved science fiction franchises. Directed by Robert Zemeckis, the film expanded the mythology of the original by sending its characters into a vividly imagined future and back through familiar territory, cementing the series as a landmark of popular American cinema.

This cell captures Marty and Doc against a dramatic fiery golden sky, the tall structures of Hill Valley rising behind them. Doc's hazmat-style suit with its radiation symbol is clearly legible across the three frames, which show subtle variations in exposure and gate position. A lens flare or film artifact partially obscures the third frame, lending the strip an additional layer of photographic character.
