FILM NOTES

Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment released Back to the Future Part II in November 1989, reuniting director Robert Zemeckis and writer Bob Gale with the cast of their 1985 blockbuster. The sequel pushed deeper into science fiction territory, depicting multiple timelines and an alternate 1985 that gave the production a darker, more ambitious scope. Shot on 35mm, the film remains a landmark of late-eighties studio filmmaking and a touchstone of the era's popular imagination.

This cell, titled George and Lorraine, captures three consecutive frames from a continuous shot inside the McFly home. Jeffrey Weissman's George McFly occupies the foreground while Lea Thompson's Lorraine Baines-McFly leans in from behind, a small monitor visible on the counter between them. Michael J. Fox appears as Marty McFly Sr. in the shared setup. The triple-frame repetition documents the shot's rhythm as it held across the sequence.
