Back to the Future Part II arrived in November 1989 from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment, directed by Robert Zemeckis as the direct continuation of his 1985 phenomenon. Shooting Parts II and III simultaneously, the production was an ambitious logistical undertaking, and the sequel's vision of 2015 has since become a cultural touchstone for how a generation imagined the near future.

This three-frame cell, titled Marlene McFly, captures Corringa MacGrieff at the staircase railing sequence, her auburn hair and white blouse consistent across all three near-identical frames. The tight repetition suggests a moment pulled from a brief, continuous action. Jane Birkin shares the credit on the second frame, placing two performers within this quiet interior shot.
