Dimension Films released Rob Zombie's Halloween in August 2007, a reimagining of John Carpenter's 1978 landmark that divided audiences and critics while drawing significant box office returns. Zombie's approach expanded Michael Myers's backstory and leaned into a rawer, more visceral aesthetic, making it one of the more debated studio horror releases of the decade.
