Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas was released by Touchstone Pictures in October 1993, produced through Burton's collaboration with director Henry Selick and Disney. The stop-motion animated feature stood apart from contemporary animation by embracing gothic aesthetics and a darkly musical sensibility, earning enduring status as a crossover holiday classic and a landmark in the craft of puppet animation.

This cell, titled Zero, captures the beloved ghost dog in three consecutive frames against a warm amber background. Zero's signature luminous pumpkin nose anchors the upper portion of each frame, while his wispy translucent form shifts subtly below, preserving a genuine sense of the fluid, ethereal movement that made the character so memorable within the film's handcrafted world.
