Produced by Tim Burton and directed by Henry Selick, The Nightmare Before Christmas was released by Touchstone Pictures in October 1993. The stop-motion animated feature represented a landmark achievement in the format, blending Burton's gothic sensibility with elaborate puppet craftsmanship and an original score by Danny Elfman. Its theatrical run launched a cultural phenomenon that has endured for decades.

This cell, titled The Halloween Town Band, captures a sequential trio of frames from the ensemble performance sequence set against the film's signature dark atmosphere and warm amber stage lighting. The frames feature the Accordion Player, voiced by L. Peter Callender, alongside Bass Players portrayed by Randy Crenshaw and Greg Proops, here credited as Jimmy. The nearly identical framing across all three frames reflects their direct sequential origin within the same continuous shot.
