Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas was released by Touchstone Pictures in October 1993, produced through Burton's collaboration with director Henry Selick and composer Danny Elfman. The stop-motion animated feature arrived at a moment when traditional animation was undergoing significant creative reinvention, and its distinctive visual language and gothic sensibility earned it a lasting place in cinema history.

This cell, titled The Halloween Town Band, captures three performers from the ensemble sequence in Halloween Town. The frames show L. Peter Callender as the Accordion Player, Greg Proops as the Sax Player, and Randy Crenshaw as the Bass Player, rendered against the film's characteristic warm brown atmospheric tones across three continuous moments of the same performance shot.
