Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas was released by Touchstone Pictures in October 1993, produced through Burton's collaboration with director Henry Selick and Disney. The stop-motion animated feature stood apart from its contemporaries, merging Halloween and Christmas mythology into a singular gothic vision that found devoted audiences far beyond its initial release and remains a landmark of the form.

This three-frame cell, titled Santa Jack, captures Jack Skellington against the distinctive architecture of Halloween Town during a nighttime exterior sequence. The yellow-lit window and strung holiday lights frame the scene with quiet tension, placing Jack at the threshold between his world and the Christmas ambitions that drive the film's central story.
