FILM NOTES

Pokémon: The First Movie arrived in North American theaters in November 1999, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures as an adaptation of the globally dominant Nintendo and Game Freak franchise. Produced by OLM, Inc. and directed by Kunihiko Yuyama, the film marked a cultural milestone for a generation of young audiences and remains one of the highest-grossing traditionally animated features of its era.

This cell captures Mew rendered as a luminous magenta orb suspended against the darkened arena environment, consistent with the climactic confrontation sequence. The duplicate frame nature of the cell reflects standard 35mm printing practice, offering collectors two views of the same iconic image within a single encapsulated piece.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
