Pokémon: The First Movie arrived in North American theaters in November 1999, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures following its 1998 Japanese release by Toho. Produced by OLM, Inc. and 4Kids Entertainment, the film marked the franchise's theatrical debut and became a genuine cultural milestone, drawing record opening weekends and introducing a generation to the moral weight of the Pokémon world through its themes of identity and conflict.

This cell captures three consecutive frames of Shellshocker, the Blastoise clone, in close-up against the dark atmosphere of Mewtwo's cloning facility. The blue mechanical apparatus visible behind the figure grounds the image firmly within that pivotal sequence. Presented as the Blastoise Clone cell, it offers a rare look at the clone counterpart alongside its source, Blastoise, in one of the film's most visually striking environments.
