Pokémon: The First Movie arrived in North American theaters in November 1999, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and produced by OLM, Inc. for Nintendo and 4Kids Entertainment. Adapted from the Japanese original released the previous year, the film marked the peak of the late-1990s Pokémon phenomenon and remains a cultural landmark of that era of anime crossover into Western mainstream cinema.

This cell captures the Team Rocket sequence, preserving Jessie, James, and Meowth mid-tumble through the film's swirling dark vortex. Jessie was voiced by Rachael Lillis, James by Eric Stuart, and Meowth by Maddie Blaustein, also credited as Madeleine Blaustein. The three frames document a continuous rotation across the blue and brown animated tunnel environment, offering a cohesive glimpse of the trio in one of the film's more visually distinctive passages.
