FILM NOTES

Pokémon: The First Movie arrived in North American theaters in November 1999, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures and produced by OLM, Inc. for Nintendo and Game Freak. Adapted from the globally dominant franchise, the film represented a cultural peak for the Pokémon phenomenon, drawing record opening weekends and cementing the property's crossover from television and trading cards into theatrical cinema.

This cell captures Charizard mid-lunge, mouth open and claws extended against a deep blue background — a dynamic frame drawn from one of the film's battle sequences. The three near-identical frames suggest a held action pose across consecutive animation cels, offering a clean, isolated look at one of the franchise's most recognized Pokémon in full aggressive motion.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
