FILM NOTES

Pokémon: The First Movie arrived in North American theaters in November 1999, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures as an adaptation of the globally dominant Nintendo and Game Freak franchise. Produced by OLM, Inc. and 4Kids Entertainment, the film represented a cultural peak for the Pokémon phenomenon, drawing enormous box office returns and cementing animated feature films based on video game properties as commercially viable.

This cell captures Mewtwo enveloped in glowing blue energy across what appears to be a continuous sequence, consistent with the psychic displays seen during the fortress battle or cloning laboratory scenes. The sustained luminescence across all four frames reflects the film's distinctive rendering of Mewtwo's immense psychic power, making this a visually cohesive piece centered entirely on the film's central antagonist.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
