FILM NOTES

Pokémon: The First Movie arrived in North American theaters in November 1999, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures as an extension of the global phenomenon that had swept television, trading cards, and playgrounds alike. Produced by OLM, Inc. and 4Kids Entertainment, the film represented a landmark moment in anime's crossover into mainstream Western cinema, drawing enormous audiences and cementing Pokémon as a cultural force well beyond its origins.

This four-frame strip captures Ash Ketchum mid-fall, the sequence shot from an overhead or inverted perspective that gives the frames an immediate sense of disorientation and motion. His familiar cap and blue jacket are clearly visible across each successive frame, with subtle shifts in his outstretched arms marking the progression of the tumble. The confirmed title, Ash Falling, describes the action precisely.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
