FILM NOTES

Pokémon: Pikachu's Vacation was released in North America in July 1999 as a short feature accompanying Pokémon: The First Movie, distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. Arriving at the height of Pokémon's cultural saturation, the short gave audiences their first theatrical glimpse of the franchise's world without the presence of human trainers, leaning entirely on the Pokémon themselves to carry the narrative.

This cell presents Marill in the foreground, the character's distinctive crescent-shaped blue form rendered with clarity against an outdoor vacation setting. Additional Pokémon figures and a yellow structure occupy the background, situating the frame within the short's central resort sequence. Marill's prominent placement makes this a natural focal point for collectors drawn to the Water-type's early theatrical appearance.

This original motion picture film element has been examined and authenticated by Crown Grading, and encapsulated for archival preservation.
