Pokémon 4Ever was released in North America in October 2002 by Miramax Films, serving as the fourth theatrical entry in the Pokémon animated film series produced by OLM, Inc. The film holds a particular place in the franchise's history as the first Pokémon feature to incorporate CGI animation alongside traditional cel animation, and it marked a transitional moment in the series as its theatrical popularity in Western markets began to settle into a more dedicated fan base.
